Welcome to
Embracing My Book Addiction! I've been contemplating starting a book blog
for a long, long time and what you see here is me finally going beyond the
"thinking stage" and into the "doing stage"! A lot of
things kept me from jumping into this blogging business, but I admit that the
biggest thing holding me back was the fear that it would take away from my
reading time! Like any other self-respecting book addict, my reading time is
precious to me and is pretty crucial to my mental health (totally not joking,
haha!). I've been a really active book reviewer on www.goodreads.com for a
couple of years now and I've reviewed (or at least rated) approximately 660 books on that site. In my Goodreads
endeavors, I have discovered that I enjoy reviewing and recommending books
almost as much as I love reading them. It seems that maybe I was meant to be a
book blogger all along, so let's hope that I can figure this out and make it
worth following! If anyone has any suggestions regarding the blog or things they would like for me to include, please leave me some comments!
Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another's skin, another's voice, another's soul.” ― Joyce Carol Oates
